Historic walls

alive in Jesus.

Pip & Jim’s - was built in the late 19th century to serve the growing community of Ilfracombe. For over a century, its tower has stood as a familiar landmark, watching over generations as they’ve gathered here for worship, weddings, baptisms, and community life.

Through seasons of change, the heart of Pip & Jim’s has remained the same: to share the good news of Jesus and be a place of welcome and hope. Today, we’re more than just a historic building; we are a vibrant community of disciples who love Jesus, one another, and the people of Ilfracombe.

What an amazing success the West Wall Revive project has been! The wall has been skilfully repaired with new tracery and mullion stones carved beautifully by superb craftsman. The magnificent stained glass West window is totally restored both inside and outside against the wind, salt and rain.

But this was always about people as well as the building. West Wall Revive has greatly enhanced the West end social and hospitality area with a new servery and disabled access. This has resulted in much increased community use, with school and community projects and events and a weekly community café.

It is with great thanks to all our volunteers who have helped, to every skilled tradesperson who worked with us, and especially to our grant funders, without whom West Wall Revive could not have happened.

The HERITAGE RESTORATION goes on. We look forward to continuing improvement of the usability of the building for our community. We plan for major reordering of the church including more toilets, effective and environmentally sustainable heating and continuing repairs to the exterior of the building.

At Pip & Jim’s, we believe our building is more than bricks and mortar - it’s a place where lives are changed, friendships are formed, and faith is nurtured. By giving to HERITAGE RESTORATION, you’re not just helping to repair our church building, you’re investing in a welcoming home for worship, community, and hope.

HERITAGE RESTORATION is about protecting and strengthening this space so it can keep serving Ilfracombe for generations to come. Let’s build a legacy together.
