SAFEGUARDING POLICY GUIDANCE

We take our responsibility for safeguarding seriously and work closely with the Diocese of Exeter, following their guidance to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone. All volunteers serving with children, young people, or vulnerable adults go through our safe recruitment process. This can include an application to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), as well as interviews and reference checks before joining the team.

If any concerns arise regarding the safety or welfare of a child, young person, or adult at risk, our Church Safeguarding Officers or Clergy Team will respond in line with our safeguarding procedures. When necessary, they will also work with the Diocesan Safeguarding Team to ensure the right action is taken.
