Historic walls
alive in Jesus.
Pip & Jim’s - was built in the late 19th century to serve the growing community of Ilfracombe. For over a century, its tower has stood as a familiar landmark, watching over generations as they’ve gathered here for worship, weddings, baptisms, and community life.
Through seasons of change, the heart of Pip & Jim’s has remained the same: to share the good news of Jesus and be a place of welcome and hope. Today, we’re more than just a historic building; we are a vibrant community of disciples who love Jesus, one another, and the people of Ilfracombe.
Due to its landmark position on the seafront Pip and Jim’s Church has been exposed to the salt and storms since 1856 and needs ongoing urgent repairs
With our major, long-term phased Heritage Restoration Project we want to ensure that this
important and prominent building at the entrance of Ilfracombe Harbour is fit for multi-purpose use and safe for future generations of our local community.
The first phase of this restoration was completed successfully in 2022 when the damage to the stonework and pointing on the Tower and Nave was repaired at a cost of £90,000.
Now, thanks to the generosity of so many of you, intensive fundraising and grant funding, we are very pleased to report that work has now started on our WEST WALL REVIVE PROJECT!
At a total cost of £624,000, this is to repair the stained glass, tracery and stonework of our wonderful West Wall, and to provide a new servery and disabled access in the West end social area of the church. It has been made possible through generous grants from:

At Pip & Jim’s, we believe our building is more than bricks and mortar - it’s a place where lives are changed, friendships are formed, and faith is nurtured.
The West Wall Revive Project is about protecting and strengthening this space so it can keep serving Ilfracombe for generations to come.
By giving, you’re not just helping repair a wall - you’re investing in a welcoming home for worship, community, and hope.
Let’s build a legacy together.
